Media audits that focus mainly on money are a far cry from comprehensive and complete. For such audits to be complete, the quality of the journalistic craft and content must be assessed. The competences of auditors should exceed those of journalists and scientists alike. The world of the media and business does not seem to grasp this fundamental truth as they fail to imagine that there are things they cannot understand. A sign of folly, no doubt.
