Folly destroys talents
When a gifted and sensitive child is born to a mediocre family or in a barbaric environment, it is not infrequent that the world has suffered a terrible loss. Squalor, violence, indifference, rejection or lack of understanding kill many gifts in the bud. A stupid mind will rarely discern a rising genius set to save the world. Perhaps contemporary education should focus more on discovering and protecting its prodigies?
