Folly v terrorism

The death of Luca Attanasio, Italy’s ambassador to the DR Congo indicates not only the powerlessness of the world but also, and more importantly, indecision regarding eradication of global terrorism. A good civil servant who serves the people in a poor country is murdered, and, regrettably, his death is not to be avenged. The responses to and announcements that the matter shall be delved into can be neatly summarised into: “I was, am, and will remain stupid.” All governments must realise, once and for all, that terrorism can be eradicated only on a global scale and only by unlawful means.
